Sophia recently came into our store on the King's Road and chatted to customers, signing copies of her books. We, as a result, all have them now and quite simply, can't put them down...
Sophia's debut novel, published in 2018. Sophia says "I find it ever so slightly annoying when people refer to their books as their 'babies' but here I am being a big old hypocrite because this was my first child. I wrote it while working at Tatler, which is possibly why it's about a journalist called Polly who works at a posh magazine (Posh People) and is one day sent up north to interview the playboy son of a duke.
He's called Jasper Montgomery and he's very dashing but I can't tell you anything else about the plot without giving you spoilers. I've always wanted to write books that make people laugh and this was my first stab at it, so I hope it does just that. Very thrillingly, someone is currently writing a film script of it, so FINGERS CROSSED.
