Keep lit for 3-4 hours on the first burn to achieve a full melt pool.
Always trim the wick between burns & never leave lit when unattended.
Always allow your candle to melt to the edge of the glass, this is especially important on the first few burns to avoid 'tunnelling'. This will take ~3/4 hours.
